Natural latex bedding is a green and environmentally friendly home product that has gradually become popular in recent years. So for consumers who are not yet very familiar with this, how do we choose high-quality natural latex products?
Is it natural latex
Synthetic latex comes from petroleum, while natural latex comes from rubber trees. Natural latex emits a faint milk fragrance, which is closer to nature and more cost-effective. The key to identifying whether it is a natural latex is whether it has obtained the "QUL" European Latex Certification Association. Only those with a natural latex content of over 95% can obtain this certification. Attached: "QUL" is a member of the Cologne ECO Board of Directors, Dr Frank Kuebart was founded and has close cooperation with the Cologne ECO organization.
Located in Bremen, Germany, testing the quality of latex and polymer content‘
·Testing the chemical elements of latex: VOC (evaporative chemical raw materials - solvents, adhesives, residue from vulcanization process, infant tolerance)
·Pesticides (harvested cotton, wool, silk, etc.), unhealthy heavy metals (cadmium, mercury, lead in colored covering materials)
·PCP pentachlorophenol (a preservative used to prevent mold growth prohibited in Germany)
·Nitrosamines (produced during latex vulcanization and some types can cause cancer)
·QUL use of infant tolerance threshold
Density of bedding
The optimal density of pillows is between 40 and 45, and being too large or too small is not good. The optimal density of the mattress is around 80.
Among them, latex mattresses with a density of 60-70 are relatively soft and suitable for those who prefer soft mattresses.
A density of 70-80 is suitable for those who prefer comfortable, moderately soft and hard mattresses, and is more suitable for use by Asians.
A density of 80-85 is relatively hard, suitable for those who prefer harder mattresses and require higher support.
